The idea
An independent learning project explored how generated stories and illustrations could support reading and bilingual learning at home. The challenge quickly extended beyond generation to the application features needed around it.
The implementation
The historical implementation used Python, Flask and SQLite, with OpenAI APIs for text and images. It included accounts, reusable story elements, a credit system, PayPal integration, a story reader and PDF or ZIP exports.
The lesson
Defining a minimum viable product was central to moving from an idea to a usable application. Account management, payments, exports and the reading experience were substantial parts of the work alongside the generation workflow.
Archive status
This case study preserves historical development experience. The old application’s availability, account security and payment flows have not been verified for current use, so this site does not offer it as an active service or link visitors into its signup flow.
